HundHaus Designs LLC is a New Jersey–based product design company focused on rethinking how people live, move, and communicate with their dogs.

Founded by dog owner and entrepreneur Rebecca L. DeLuccia, in collaboration with master dog trainer Shawn Stewart of Dogs Are Easy Professional Dog Training (www.dogsareeasy.com), HundHaus was built on a simple insight: without considerable manipulation and "dog-training" know-how, the traditional leash is a tether—not a communication tool.

Traditional leashes—whether handheld or hands-free—rely on a long, linear design that requires constant manipulation and allows dogs to build momentum. As dogs accelerate, they generate force that can strain the handler, reduce control, and turn the walk into a frustrating—and at times unsafe—experience.

We set out to change that.

At the center of our work is the DAE Lead®—a reengineered hands-free dog leashing system that replaces linear tension with body-driven movement. Using a wearable, waist-mounted configuration, the system shifts control from the handler’s hands to their core and shortens the dog’s acceleration path. This allows the handler’s movement to guide the dog—using the dog’s natural language—resulting in clearer communication, improved control, and reduced pulling forces.

This innovation is protected by four U.S. utility patents (three issued: US 11,185,051 B2; US 11,793,166 B2; US 12,178,190 B2; and one recently allowed and pending publication), introducing a new category of dog leash—a system designed for how humans and dogs move together, bringing the precision of professional training to everyday dog owners.
